As parents, wouldnt we find it handy to have an instruction book to come with these little treasures we raise? Or at the least, and frequently asked questions place for help? Well, praise the Lord, there is both. For the manual, God gave us His word, the Bible. We have it to study and seek Him on what to do. For the FAQ, there is a ministry that helps with a lot of this, Family Answers.
Found on the web at www.christiananswers.net/parenting this ministry is part of a larger family ministry. This section is designed as an FAQ section for you to gain input and resources as a parent to the issues which we may struggle with most.
The site is set up for parents with children of all ages. There are topics such as potty training, parental authority, discipline, elementary children, teen issues and more. These sections are broken into smaller topics such as disciplining for:television issues, stealing, bullying, fears, profanity and others.Teen issues include:dating, eating disorders, cutting, and depression.
There are also tips for better parenting such as helping us regain our focus on God and His will for us as parents and for our children. Advice is included for babysitter issues as well. Financial issues also have a focus.
While the Bible is the authority, sometimes it helps to get Christian input and feedback to our parenting questions. If you have questions today, I encourage you to take the time to visit and see if you can find some guidance here.
